   Naval Architect/Hydrodynamicist
   
   Job Description:
   Provide scientific and technical support on government R&D efforts involving advanced
   drag reduction concepts. Perform analysis in support of technology development
   programs that focus on ship drag reduction. Review proposed solutions, calculate and
   simulate expected performance. Provide objective analysis of test data and results.
   Assess conceptual designs through tradeoff studies involving theoretical analysis and
   computer simulation. Assist the government during system development by providing in
   depth technical review of contractor proposed designs, perform calculations and
   simulations to determine expected performance, and suggest design
   improvements.
   
   Education:
   Naval Architect preferred; PhD Physics, Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering with
   fluid dynamics experience acceptable; Masters required.
   
   Required Skills:
   ·Secret clearance ·Minimum 3 Yrs R&D experience in hydrodynamic design and
   Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) ·Experience modeling/analyzing advanced drag
   reduction concepts ·Strong communication skills ·Strong analytical abilities
   
   
   Desired Skills:
   ·Experience interfacing with senior DoD R&D personnel (DARPA experience preferred)
   ·Proficiency in Matlab and hydrodynamic models ·TS/SCI clearance
